Lewis Hamilton’s bid for an eighth Formula 1 title has gained fresh momentum after a challenging start to the 2025 season. The British driver, who made a highly anticipated switch to Ferrari, endured a difficult debut at the Australian Grand Prix, finishing in 10th place after struggling with pace throughout the weekend.

Ferrari, expected to be a frontrunner, failed to impress in Melbourne, with teammate Charles Leclerc managing only an eighth-place finish. The team’s underwhelming performance raised concerns about their competitiveness this season. However, ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix, Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur has reassured Hamilton and the team, expressing confidence in their ability to improve.

Vasseur acknowledged the disappointing start but emphasized that it’s a long season and that Hamilton’s experience and determination will be key to Ferrari’s progress. He praised Hamilton’s influence within the team, highlighting his role in refining the car’s setup and motivating the crew.

With six career wins at Shanghai, Hamilton now has an opportunity to turn things around. Backed by Ferrari’s commitment to improvement, there’s optimism that the partnership will soon deliver stronger results in the championship fight.
