Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, now driving for Scuderia Ferrari, has found himself at the center of controversy during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has officially summoned the Ferrari team over an alleged breach of regulations during Friday’s free practice session.

According to initial reports, the issue stems from a suspected technical infringement involving Hamilton’s car setup, potentially related to the rear wing’s flexibility or an irregularity in tire temperatures. FIA officials have not yet disclosed the specific regulation in question, but the investigation has prompted widespread speculation in the paddock.

Ferrari has issued a brief statement confirming receipt of the summons and expressed confidence that their car complies fully with all current Formula 1 technical and sporting regulations. “We are cooperating with the FIA to clarify the matter and are confident that no rules have been broken,” a team spokesperson said.

Hamilton, who joined Ferrari this season in a highly publicized move from Mercedes, has been under intense scrutiny as fans and experts monitor his performance in the iconic red car. This incident adds further tension to what is already one of the most prestigious and challenging races on the F1 calendar.

A hearing with race stewards is expected before qualifying on Saturday, and any penalties—if issued—could impact Hamilton’s grid position or result in further disciplinary action. All eyes now turn to the FIA for the outcome of the investigation.
