Helmut Marko Criticizes Isack Hadjar’s Emotional Reaction as “A Bit Embarrassing”

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has downplayed Isack Hadjar’s emotional response following a recent racing incident, calling it “a bit embarrassing.” The young French driver, who is part of Red Bull’s junior program, showed visible frustration after a disappointing result, prompting Marko’s blunt assessment.

Hadjar, a rising star in Formula 2, has been pushing to secure a future Formula 1 seat, but his latest performance left him visibly upset. Following a tough race where he faced setbacks, Hadjar was seen struggling to contain his emotions, leading to Marko’s remark.

Speaking to media, Marko, known for his straightforward approach, commented, “These things happen in racing. It’s understandable to be frustrated, but showing such emotions in public is a bit embarrassing. Drivers need to be mentally strong and ready for setbacks.”

Marko has a history of demanding mental resilience from Red Bull’s junior drivers, often emphasizing the importance of composure under pressure. His comments suggest that while Hadjar has talent, he needs to develop a tougher mindset to succeed at the highest level of motorsport.

Despite the criticism, Hadjar has been performing well in his F2 campaign, with strong finishes and moments of brilliance that have put him on Red Bull’s radar for a potential F1 seat. However, with intense competition within Red Bull’s talent pool, including Liam Lawson and Ayumu Iwasa, maintaining a strong mental approach will be crucial for his future.

Hadjar has yet to respond publicly to Marko’s remarks, but it remains to be seen how he will handle the pressure moving forward. As he continues his journey toward Formula 1, his ability to manage emotions and deliver consistent performances will play a key role in his success.
