BREAKING: McLaren Boss Zak Brown Resigns from Andretti SPAC Role After Just One Mont
Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, has not resigned from his position at McLaren. However, he has stepped down from his role on the board of Andretti Acquisition Corporation II, a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) formed with Michael Andretti. Brown joined the SPAC in early September 2024 but resigned on September 30, 2024. The resignation was not due to any disagreements with the company’s operations or policies, and no specific reason was provided for his departure.
Additionally, McLaren Racing, under Brown’s leadership, announced its decision to exit the Formula E series. This move aligns with McLaren’s strategic direction, focusing on their upcoming entry into the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2027. Brown stated that while proud of their achievements in Formula E, the time was right to explore opportunities that more closely align with McLaren Racing’s overall strategy.
Despite these changes, Brown remains at the helm of McLaren Racing, leading the team as they continue to compete at the forefront of Formula 1.
