German sportswear giant Adidas has unveiled a multi-year collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One (F1) Team, starting with the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship.
Under the partnership, Adidas will serve as the official team partner, designing and producing a comprehensive range of apparel that blends performance and style for the entire team, including drivers, mechanics, and engineers.
Bjoern Gulden, CEO of Adidas, expressed enthusiasm for the venture, saying, “We are thrilled to return to the world of motorsport. Our shared passion for speed, innovation, and performance will drive us to support the team in pushing boundaries on the track.”
The 2025 F1 season will kick off with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14 to 16, featuring 24 races over the year. The Chinese Grand Prix, scheduled from March 21 to 23 in Shanghai, will be the second stop of the season. Shanghai will also host the first F1 Sprint Race of the season and the inaugural round of the F1 Academy, showcasing an all-female lineup.
China’s growing enthusiasm for F1 is evident in official statistics, which reveal over 150 million fans in the country, with more than half becoming followers in the past four years. F1’s online fanbase in China has surged to 4.3 million, growing by more than 1 million annually.
This partnership marks Adidas’s renewed commitment to motorsport and is set to further strengthen the global appeal of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
