Lando Norris splits with supermodel Margarida Corceiro after… Read More
McLaren driver Lando Norris has ended his relationship with Portuguese supermodel Margarida Corceiro, just months after making headlines with a playful comment during a Sky Sports F1 lie detector segment. The 24-year-old British racer had joked that he had “many girlfriends,” a statement that raised eyebrows but was taken in stride by fans and media alike.
The couple had been together for over a year and were often seen enjoying their time in Monaco, where Norris resides. They were frequently spotted around the city, including riding through the streets in Norris’ classic Fiat Jolly and attending events such as the Monte-Carlo Masters tennis final between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud. Corceiro, who had previously dated Chelsea forward Joao Felix, also attended several Grand Prix races to support Norris.
Despite the public appearances and seemingly strong bond, the relationship has come to an end. According to reports from The Sun, the couple decided to part ways after realizing that things weren’t working out. A source close to the pair revealed: “Lando and Margarida had a fun time together and hung out a lot. But it wasn’t working out, so they cooled off. He’s free and single and just wants to focus on his sport.”
Norris seemed to confirm the split during a fan event at the Dutch Grand Prix. When asked about his future plans, particularly whether he might get a dog, the McLaren driver responded: “If I do, I need a girlfriend, and I don’t have one, so…” This lighthearted comment was taken as an acknowledgment of his single status.
Earlier in the season, Norris took part in the popular Sky Sports F1 lie detector test hosted by Simon Lazenby. During the segment, he was asked whether he had a girlfriend, to which he answered no. The lie detector confirmed his response as truthful. When further asked if he had “many girlfriends,” Norris laughed and replied “yes,” adding a playful tone to the interview.
With his personal life now free of distractions, Norris may be able to put even more focus on his racing career as he aims for success in both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships. The McLaren star has been in strong form throughout the 2024 season, even challenging Red Bull’s reigning champion Max Verstappen at various points.
Norris’ performance at the Dutch Grand Prix was particularly impressive. He took the lead from Verstappen on lap 18, building a commanding 22-second advantage over the rest of the field. Despite this dominant performance, Verstappen managed to reclaim the lead, but Norris still recorded the fastest lap of the race during the final tour of the Zandvoort circuit.
With nine races remaining in the 2024 season, Norris trails Verstappen by 70 points. Though the gap is substantial, the young Briton remains optimistic about his chances. If his McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri can also challenge Verstappen and help take points off Red Bull, Norris’ title aspirations remain within reach. For now, the focus is entirely on racing as Norris looks to push McLaren to new heights in the battle for the Constructors’ Championship and potentially claim his maiden Drivers’ Championship title.
