Red Bull Car Unveiling Draws Criticism Ahead of 2025 F1 Season

A recent unveiling by Red Bull Racing has left fans underwhelmed as anticipation builds for the 2025 Formula 1 season. With pre-season testing in Bahrain just weeks away and a major launch event at the O2 Arena on the horizon, attention briefly shifted to a collaboration between F1 and Hot Wheels.

In November 2024, Formula 1 announced a multi-year partnership with Hot Wheels to produce F1-themed die-cast cars, aiming to bring the excitement of the sport to fans at a 1:64 scale. Following last year’s one-off release, a full collection of F1 Hot Wheels models is set to launch in 2025.

Recently, Hot Wheels offered fans a first glimpse of the collection, unveiling a die-cast version of the Red Bull Racing car on its official Facebook page. The post, captioned “Relive the thrill of F1 with this 1:64th scale Oracle Red Bull Racing die-cast—the first of 8 teams from the Formula 1 collection to hit the track,” sparked heated reactions online after being reshared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Many fans expressed disappointment with the model’s simplicity and lack of intricate detail. One user commented, “Needs to be a lot better than this… I was so excited for the F1 Hot Wheels collection, but this is too basic.” Another shared, “I expect better from Hot Wheels, to be honest.” A third user echoed the criticism, writing, “Am I the only one who thinks it looks very mid?”
