Kyle Van Noy: After joining the Ravens, I truly bought in, and I never wanted to leave.

Kyle Van Noy spent three weeks as a free agent before opting to re-sign with the Ravens, but he maintains that leaving Baltimore was never seriously considered.

As a veteran linebacker who joined the Ravens last year following stints with the Lions, Patriots (twice), Dolphins, and Chargers, Van Noy expressed his fondness for Baltimore, emphasizing that it’s where he truly feels at home.

“I really bought into what we were doing last year,” Van Noy remarked, as cited by BaltimoreRavens.com. “I really believe that we have the pieces. I think we just as a group need to put in a little more work. Whether it’s a little more film or a little bit more after practice, just a little bit more. I feel honored to put on a Ravens jersey and compete for another championship. It didn’t end the way we wanted to. To be able to come back with another group and go at it to get another trophy is a blessing. I had my eyes set on this place the whole time. It wasn’t a matter of if. It was a matter of when.”

Van Noy also highlighted his personal connection with Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti as a factor in his decision to remain with the team.

“I knew where I wanted to be, and I think the Ravens knew they wanted me back,” Van Noy added. “Why wait? Let’s get something done.”

Although the Ravens have experienced significant departures from last year’s standout defense, including Patrick Queen, Jadeveon Clowney, Ronald Darby, Del’Shawn Phillips, and Geno Stone, Van Noy is eager to embark on his 11th NFL season and second year with the Ravens.
