Ferrari Officially Announces Late Driver Replacement Due to Emotional H…read more

Scuderia Ferrari has officially announced a late driver replacement ahead of this weekend’s Grand Prix following what the team described as an “emotional hardship” affecting one of its primary drivers. The announcement came just days before the race, creating a stir among fans and paddock insiders alike.

Although Ferrari has not released full details, sources close to the team confirm that Charles Leclerc will be stepping aside temporarily due to personal reasons. Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur addressed the media, stating, “This decision was made with Charles’ well-being as our top priority. He is going through a deeply emotional time, and we fully support his choice to take a step back.”

Replacing Leclerc for the upcoming race will be reserve driver Oliver Bearman, who impressed during previous practice sessions and junior series performances. Bearman, 19, has been part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and was already on-site as part of Ferrari’s strategic planning for the 2025 season.

“This is an unexpected opportunity,” Bearman said. “I’m honored to represent Ferrari, even under such difficult circumstances. My thoughts are with Charles.”

The exact nature of the emotional hardship remains private, though Ferrari has asked the media and fans for respect and understanding during this time.

Ferrari’s late lineup change adds another twist to an already unpredictable Formula 1 season, with the team currently in a close battle for the Constructors’ Championship. Fans will be watching closely to see how Bearman performs under pressure and whether the team can maintain momentum in Leclerc’s absence.

More details are expected in the coming days as the team prepares for Saturday’s qualifying session. For now, the Ferrari garage stands united, prioritizing compassion over competition.
