Lewis Hamilton Admits He’s ‘Not Enjoying’ Ferrari After …read more
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has admitted he is “not enjoying” his first season at Ferrari, following a series of underwhelming performances that have left fans and analysts questioning the move. The British driver, who joined the Scuderia this year after more than a decade at Mercedes, has struggled to find his footing in the iconic red car.
Hamilton has yet to secure a podium finish in the first six races of the 2025 Formula 1 season, with Ferrari’s SF-25 proving difficult to handle and lacking competitive pace against rivals Red Bull and McLaren. His best result so far has been a distant fifth place, while teammate Charles Leclerc has fared only slightly better.
Speaking after the Miami Grand Prix, Hamilton was candid about his struggles: “I’d be lying if I said I’m enjoying it right now. It’s been frustrating — the car’s not where we want it to be, and we’re working hard behind the scenes, but it’s not clicking yet.”
Ferrari’s issues appear to stem from aerodynamic instability and tire degradation, with both drivers voicing concerns about the car’s consistency during long stints. Hamilton, known for his adaptability and skill in car development, is reportedly working closely with engineers to help turn things around.
Fans had high hopes that Hamilton’s arrival would help Ferrari end its long-standing championship drought. However, the rocky start has only added pressure on the team and its new star signing.
Despite the poor start, Hamilton remains optimistic: “It’s a challenge, but I’ve faced these before. We just need time and teamwork. I haven’t lost faith.”
With the European leg of the season looming, Ferrari and Hamilton will be hoping for a turnaround before it’s too late.
