Norris Shuts Out Social Media as F1 Battle Heats…read more

As the Formula 1 championship intensifies, McLaren driver Lando Norris has revealed that he is taking a step back from social media to maintain focus amid the growing pressure of the 2025 season. The 25-year-old Briton, who recently secured his first F1 victory and is now a consistent podium contender, emphasized the importance of mental clarity during this critical phase of the title race.

With the battle at the front tighter than ever between Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren, Norris acknowledged the psychological toll of constant online scrutiny and speculation. “There’s a lot of noise out there, and it’s easy to get distracted,” Norris said. “For me, it’s about focusing on what really matters—racing and improving every weekend.”

Norris has been in remarkable form this season, challenging Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in a three-way fight that has thrilled fans worldwide. However, with increased visibility comes increased pressure, something Norris says he’s learning to manage better than in past seasons.

“Social media is a great tool to connect with fans, but it can also be overwhelming,” he explained. “Taking a break allows me to stay in the right mindset and keep pushing without the added pressure.”

McLaren has been steadily improving, and with the car now more competitive than ever, Norris is seen as a genuine threat for the championship. Team Principal Andrea Stella praised Norris’s maturity, noting that “his decision shows the kind of professionalism and focus needed to win in this sport.”

As the F1 calendar heads into its European leg, Norris’s digital silence could be a sign that he’s more determined than ever to stay locked in—and possibly mount a serious title challenge.
