Panic in the Paddock as FIA Summons Max Verstappen’s Car After Late Arrival at Miami Grand Prix

Formula 1 was thrown into sudden turmoil as the FIA issued an urgent summons for Max Verstappen’s car following its delayed arrival at the Miami Grand Prix paddock  sparking fears of regulatory breaches and potential penalties ahead of the high-stakes weekend.

The reigning world champion’s RB21 reportedly arrived at the circuit significantly later than expected, with mechanics seen scrambling to prepare the car under intense time pressure. As rumors swirled about customs holdups and last-minute transportation issues, the FIA moved swiftly to initiate an immediate technical inspection  a move rarely made so close to a race weekend.

An official FIA spokesperson confirmed: “As a precautionary measure, the FIA has summoned the Red Bull entry for an urgent compliance check due to unusual arrival timing and procedural concerns. All teams are expected to meet strict timing and inspection standards, and any deviation requires review.”

The unexpected summons triggered alarm across the paddock, with whispers suggesting potential concerns about car components being altered or replaced during the unmonitored transit. While no foul play has been suggested, the late delivery has raised eyebrows among rival teams.

Red Bull Racing responded quickly, stating that logistical complications caused the delay but that all components remain unchanged and fully within regulations. “There is no breach. The car is exactly as it should be. This was purely a shipment delay, and we’re cooperating fully with the FIA,” the team said.

Despite the reassurances, the dramatic scene has fueled speculation about possible knock-on effects for Verstappen’s preparation — with limited setup time before free practice and scrutiny already mounting over the team’s dominance.

Verstappen himself remained calm, telling reporters, “It’s not ideal, but we’ll adapt. I trust the team to get everything sorted.”

Still, with the FIA watching closely and tensions running high, all eyes will be on Red Bull as the Miami Grand Prix weekend unfolds under a cloud of sudden controversy.
