F1 Drivers Facing Bizarre End to Miami Grand Prix in Official FIA Announcement

Formula 1 fans were left stunned as the FIA issued an unprecedented statement following the Miami Grand Prix, revealing a bizarre and controversial twist to the race’s conclusion.

The governing body confirmed late Sunday that multiple drivers may face penalties—or even disqualification—due to irregularities during the final laps of the race. According to the FIA’s official announcement, a “technical infringement” involving the use of an incorrect Safety Car Delta setting affected several teams’ strategies during the race’s dramatic closing stages.

“The FIA is currently investigating anomalies detected in the delta time synchronization system used during the final Safety Car period,” the statement read. “As a result, the finishing positions of some drivers remain provisional pending a full review.”

The announcement sent shockwaves through the paddock, as teams scrambled to understand whether their drivers had inadvertently broken regulations due to the glitch. Sources suggest that at least three top-10 finishers could see their results altered.

Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, who finished P2 behind McLaren’s Lando Norris, commented after the race: “We followed the information given to us. If something went wrong with the system, that’s out of our hands.”

FIA stewards are expected to meet with team representatives overnight, with final results potentially not confirmed until Monday.

The bizarre turn marks one of the strangest conclusions to a Grand Prix in recent memory, casting a shadow over what had been a thrilling race on the streets of Miami.
