Hamilton Ferrari BOMBSHELL drops as ‘secret meeting held after…….read more

Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, is preparing for a major career shift as he moves to Ferrari for the 2025 season. The British driver, who has been a staple of Mercedes since 2013, will exit the team where he won six of his seven championships and 84 Grand Prix races. Despite his departure, Hamilton will continue to race for Mercedes throughout the 2024 season, having already signed with Ferrari for the following year. The 2024 season proved challenging for Hamilton, who finished seventh in the driver’s standings, behind teammate George Russell. Although Hamilton did manage to break a nearly three-year win drought with victories at Silverstone and Spa, his season was marked by frustration and a lack of championship contention.

As he prepares to join Ferrari, Hamilton will arrive at a team that is on the up. The Scuderia, which has been struggling to capture its first drivers’ title since 2008, came close in 2024, finishing just 11 points behind the champion. This strong performance offers hope that Ferrari will be a contender in 2025, presenting Hamilton with a realistic chance of securing an elusive eighth world title before he retires. The arrival of Hamilton at Ferrari coincides with a wave of farewell tributes from Mercedes staff, marking the end of his historic 12-year partnership with the team. Mercedes has celebrated his success through social media posts, podcasts, and a personal visit to their Brackley headquarters.

However, despite the official announcement and the various tributes, Hamilton’s transition to Ferrari appears to be already underway in more subtle ways. According to reports from Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hamilton made a secret trip to Maranello to meet with Ferrari’s engineering team ahead of his 2025 debut. The visit, which took place while Hamilton was still a Mercedes driver, allowed him to get a head start on familiarizing himself with his future team. In addition to meeting with engineers, Hamilton is said to have been in frequent communication with Ferrari’s current driver, Charles Leclerc.

In preparation for his move, Hamilton is also reportedly learning Italian to help him connect better with his new colleagues. This effort shows his commitment to immersing himself in Ferrari’s culture and ensuring smooth communication with the team when he officially joins. Hamilton’s proactive approach and early involvement with Ferrari hint at his eagerness to hit the ground running in 2025, as he looks to add another chapter to his illustrious career, this time with the Scuderia.
