BREAKING:Helmut Marko Criticizes Lewis Hamilton’s P…read more
Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko has once again sparked controversy in the Formula 1 world with his latest remarks targeting seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. In an interview with Austrian media, Marko questioned Hamilton’s recent form and suggested that the British driver is “more focused on the spotlight than on racing.”
Marko criticized Hamilton’s performance since his move to Ferrari, claiming, “He is no longer the driver he used to be. The results speak for themselves. While Ferrari gave him a competitive car, he hasn’t delivered the consistency you expect from a champion of his caliber.”
The 81-year-old also took a swipe at Hamilton’s off-track activities, saying, “He’s more interested in fashion shows and activism than race setups. That’s fine, but it shows in his performance.”
Hamilton, who joined Ferrari in 2025 after more than a decade with Mercedes, has had a mixed start to the season, with only one podium in the first seven races. Despite the criticism, Hamilton has not yet publicly responded to Marko’s comments.
The ongoing tension between Red Bull and Hamilton isn’t new, as Marko has been openly critical of the British driver in the past. With the season heating up and rivalries intensifying, the paddock will be watching closely to see how Hamilton responds — both on and off the track.
