Lewis Hamilton Determined to Maximize Ferrari Performance at Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Despite Styl….read more

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has expressed his determination to unlock greater performance from his Ferrari car ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. However, he also acknowledged the difficulties of adapting his driving style to fully suit his new machine, having spent over a decade with Mercedes.

Hamilton, who made the high-profile switch to Ferrari for the 2025 Formula 1 season, is still adjusting to the intricacies of his new environment. After years of success with Mercedes, the British driver is navigating a learning curve as he attempts to align his driving approach with Ferrari’s unique engineering characteristics. While he remains confident in the car’s capabilities, Hamilton admitted that he’s still working to refine his performance behind the wheel.

Speaking ahead of the race weekend in Jeddah, Hamilton emphasized the importance of adapting quickly in order to remain competitive in a tightly contested season. “I’m really focused on extracting more performance from the car,” Hamilton said. “We’ve got a strong package here at Ferrari, but there are still areas where I know I can improve and get more out of the car. It’s a process, but I’m working closely with the engineers to make sure we’re heading in the right direction.”

Hamilton acknowledged that the biggest hurdle is unlearning some of the habits ingrained during his time at Mercedes. “It’s definitely a challenge not to revert back to my old driving style,” he admitted. “There are certain instincts I’ve developed over the years, and while they’ve served me well, some of them don’t necessarily align with how the Ferrari handles. I need to rewire my approach in some ways, which takes time and conscious effort.”

Despite the challenges, Hamilton remains optimistic about Ferrari’s trajectory and his own potential within the team. “The car has potential, and the team is incredibly motivated. We’ve made some good progress since the start of the season, and every session gives me more insight into how to push the car to its limits. It’s all about building confidence and consistency.”

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, held on the high-speed Jeddah Corniche Circuit, presents a unique test for both driver and machine. With its fast corners and limited run-off areas, precision and control are crucial. For Hamilton, it’s another opportunity to fine-tune his performance and continue adapting to his new team.

As the season progresses, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how Hamilton continues to integrate with Ferrari—and whether he can translate his experience and skill into vict
