Michael Jordan’s Former Agent Takes Shot at LeBron James for ‘Cherry-Picked’ Teams

In a recent interview, Michael Jordan’s former agent, David Falk, didn’t hold back in criticizing LeBron James for what he described as “cherry-picking” his teams throughout his NBA career. Falk, a longtime figure in professional basketball circles, compared James’ team choices unfavorably to Jordan’s legacy of loyalty and perseverance with the Chicago Bulls.

“LeBron is incredibly talented, no doubt,” Falk said. “But let’s be real—he’s crafted his career by handpicking teams that would give him the best shot at a championship. That’s not how Michael did it. He stayed with the Bulls, took the hits, and built something legendary from within.”

Falk’s comments reignite the long-standing debate between fans and analysts over who deserves the title of greatest of all time—Jordan or James. While James has earned four NBA championships with three different franchises—the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers—critics argue that his frequent team changes dilute the weight of his accomplishments.

“In today’s era, guys team up and chase rings,” Falk continued. “It’s become the norm. But Michael competed in an era where you had to grind it out with the team you had.”

Supporters of James quickly fired back on social media, highlighting his longevity, consistency, and impact on and off the court. They also pointed to Jordan’s two retirements and later stint with the Washington Wizards, suggesting that every player’s journey is unique.

While the debate continues, Falk’s remarks underscore a generational divide in how greatness is defined in professional basketball. For some, loyalty and legacy outweigh flexibility and strategy. For others, adapting to win is a sign of true greatness.

Either way, the conversation around James vs. Jordan is far from over—and Falk just added fresh fuel to the fire.
