BREAKING:Norris mocks Verstappen after 10-second pen…Read more

In the aftermath of the dramatic 2025 Spanish Grand Prix, McLaren’s Lando Norris didn’t hold back in critiquing rival Max Verstappen’s aggressive driving, which led to a 10-second penalty and a drop from fifth to tenth place for the Red Bull driver.

The incident occurred late in the race when Verstappen, under pressure from Norris, made contact with Mercedes’ George Russell, prompting the stewards to issue a penalty and three penalty points to Verstappen’s Super Licence, bringing him perilously close to a race ban with 11 points.

Norris, who finished second behind teammate Oscar Piastri, expressed his frustration post-race, stating, “I respect Max a lot as a driver, but it wasn’t very clean driving in my opinion.”

The McLaren driver further commented, “I did everything I’ve been told in terms of what the rules are and the guidelines and all of this stuff, yet it just wasn’t to be and, of course, he got some penalties for that.”

Verstappen later acknowledged his mistake on social media, admitting the move was “not right and shouldn’t have happened,” citing frustration over strategy and tire choices.

The incident has intensified the rivalry between the two drivers, with Norris closing the championship gap to Verstappen to 47 points.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix, where Verstappen’s conduct and the FIA’s response will be under scrutiny.
