Another Suspect Arrested in Catawba County House Party Mass Shooting as Investigation Continues

Authorities in Catawba County have made another arrest in connection to the deadly mass shooting that occurred at a house party last weekend. The incident, which left multiple people injured and claimed the lives of at least two individuals, has shocked the quiet North Carolina community and sparked an intensive law enforcement investigation.

The latest suspect, whose identity has not yet been released due to the ongoing investigation, was taken into custody early Friday morning. According to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest follows new leads uncovered through interviews, surveillance footage, and community tips. This marks the second arrest in the case, with officials stating that more individuals may still be involved.

The shooting took place late Saturday night at a large gathering on the outskirts of the city. Witnesses described chaos as gunfire erupted, sending partygoers scrambling for safety. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find several victims suffering from gunshot wounds, some critically injured. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the violence may have stemmed from a dispute during the party, but they are still piecing together the full sequence of events. Sheriff Don Brown emphasized the department’s commitment to ensuring justice is served. “We’re working tirelessly to identify everyone involved in this tragic act of violence,” he said. “Our community deserves answers and accountability.”

Local officials are urging anyone with information to come forward, assuring that tips can be given anonymously. Meanwhile, grief counselors and support services have been made available for affected families and residents.

As the investigation unfolds, the community continues to mourn the lives lost and hope for a swift resolution to the case. More updates are expected from law enforcement in the coming days.
