Stewards officially Warn F1 STARS About New FIA Penalty A…read more.

Ahead of the much-anticipated Bahrain Grand Prix, Formula 1 stewards have issued a formal warning to all drivers regarding a new penalty system introduced by the FIA for the 2025 season. The revised regulation, aimed at improving driver conduct and increasing fairness on the track, has caught the attention of teams and fans alike as the championship kicks off under the lights in Sakhir.

The FIA’s updated policy focuses on stricter enforcement of track limits and sporting behavior, with an emphasis on consistency. Drivers will now be more closely monitored for incidents such as forcing opponents off track, weaving during defensive maneuvers, and gaining advantages by exceeding track boundaries. Offenders could face time penalties, grid drops, or even license points depending on the severity of the violation.

During the drivers’ briefing, stewards made it clear that any breach of these revised rules would be met with immediate and decisive action. The warning comes after several controversial moments in past seasons where inconsistency in penalty decisions led to criticism from both fans and drivers.

Several drivers, including reigning champion Max Verstappen and Ferrari’s new signing Lewis Hamilton, expressed cautious optimism about the changes. “If it brings clarity and fairness, then it’s a step in the right direction,” Hamilton noted.

As the first race of the season looms, all eyes will be on how the new regulations are enforced and whether they truly lead to a cleaner, more competitive F1 season.
