CB Emmanuel Moseley Re-Signed by the Detroit Lions Because Of….
The Detroit Lions are running it back with a defensive back that only played two snaps in the 2023 season. According to ESPN, veteran cornerback Emmanuel Moseley is returning to Motown on a one-year deal. Moseley has dealt with two major injuries the past couple of seasons. After tearing his ACL in 2022, Moseley spent the 2023 season rehabbing an ACL tear in the other knee. The soon to be 28-year-old was expected to compete to be the cornerback to play opposite of Cam Sutton last season. As a result of injuries, the defensive backs unit did not live up to expectations for Aaron Glenn’s defense. Deshea Townsend was brought to the organization to help improve the play of the defensive backs. Dre Bly and Brian Duker are no longer with the organization, as the coaching staff added new members on the defensive side of the football. “When I get in the room, I tell the young guys it’s your job to take the starters’ job, and the starters, it’s your job to hold them off,” Townsend said, via the Free Press. “And that’s the same way in coaching. You got to make sure you’re doing your best at every opportunity, you have to prove yourself daily and I wouldn’t expect anything different from myself that I expect from them.”
