Chelsea is apparently targeting a transfer for Gabriel Moscardo, a midfielder for Corinthians, and might add another “Brazilian wonderkid” to their roster this season.

Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel, 15, was acquired by the Blues from Santos in July. They paid £17.2 million for the striker, another adolescent from Santos in Deivid Washington, just a month later.

Chelsea has a reputation for making big investments in up-and-coming players, and it looks like they are about to finalize an agreement for yet another one.

The Standard claims that Chelsea is the “most likely club” to capture Moscardo in January. Moscardo has become a target for a number of European teams.

The gifted 18-year-old is reportedly the target of Liverpool, as well, therefore a bidding war may break out for him.

According to the report, Chelsea will attempt again for Moscardo in January after having their £18 million offer rejected during the summer transfer window.
