CONGRATULATIONS: The rider nation have recently welcomed a new head coach form…….
GINA: Corey Mace, the 48th head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, appears to be someone the team really wanted to take over.
In a press release issued by the Roughriders on Thursday, Mace was formally named the team’s next head coach. General Manager Jeremy O’Day and Mace were also presented at a press conference held at Mosaic Stadium in Regina on Friday.
“It’s true that I do want this job, as I’ve seen the retweets and stuff,” Mace stated. “And it fits with my football career as of right now.”

is) the team president, and my role as head coach is to lead Saskatchewan. That is something that neither the players nor I will ever lose sight of.
O’Day remarked, “Corey stood out right from the start.” “He expressed his desire to lead the Saskatchewan Roughriders as head coach from the beginning to the conclusion, and it was evident in his communication that he put himself in the driver’s seat. Once more, there’s a distinction between desiring something and properly considering, preparing, and attending to all the specifics of being a head coach.
After a protracted interview process during which other names, like Hamilton’s Scott Milanovich and Winnipeg’s Buck Pierce, were frequently brought up, Mace was selected.
