Could Everton star be in the England squad?

Despite his excellent form since coming back from injury, Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin won’t likely be named to the England team this week, according to Henry Winter of The Times.

Following his recovery from a face injury, the 27-year-old scored in all three of his outings, assisting the Toffees in triumphs over Brentford and Aston Villa in the Premier League and Carabao Cup.

We are all aware of Calvert-Lewin’s potential, and as an athletic, versatile attacker, he would fit the international game brilliantly.

However, his fitness record over the years has been nothing short of appalling, and until he has demonstrated that he can stay in shape for an extended length of time, he shouldn’t really be taken into consideration for the England squad.
