But with all of the overwhelming media attention the Cowboys receive, one of the NFL’s greatest stories has gone somewhat unreported.

Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey has continued to kick flawlessly and hasn’t missed a field goal this season. Because Aubrey hit two career-high 59-yard field goals against the Philadelphia Eagles the week before, the uninitiated observer might assume he was a standout kicker in college and a top pick in the draft. Still, this is the furthest thing from the reality.

When Aubrey watched his favorite team, the Cowboys, on Sundays, all of his pals would tell him he ought to play kicker. In order to fulfill his desire, Aubrey began training three times a week after work after he really paid attention to his buddies.
