Anthony Gordon’s sale is expected to bring in an additional £5 million for Everton, as per Martin Hardy, the deal’s add-ons are “likely to be paid.”

After scoring the game-winning goal in Newcastle’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United two days prior, the winger’s move to Newcastle appears to be “money well spent,” according to a Times journalist who wrote on the signing on the newspaper’s website on December 4.

The 22-year-old had previously scored and provided an assist in Newcastle’s 4-1 victory against Chelsea the previous week, bringing his season total in the Premier League to six goals and five assists.

Gordon’s success at St. James’ Park has prompted Hardy to assert that the Toffees ought to get the whole £45 million contract that was reached in January of the previous year.

A portion of the fan base no longer feels particularly positive about Anthony Gordon after the story at Goodison Park turned sour in the end.

However, given he has been out of the team for almost a year, the only good thing he can do for Everton right now is make sure he fulfills all of the requirements of the move that sent him to the North East.

The Toffees’ season has already been upended by the 10-point deduction for a profit and sustainability violation, and there are worries that other issues may arise in later accounting periods.
