Everton Fans’ Forum have contacted the club seeking urgent answers.
After numerous supporters were involved in “chaotic scenes” while attempting to enter the stadium for the Burnley Cup match, the Everton Fans’ Forum contacted the team in an attempt to obtain “urgent answers.”
After supporters had trouble entering Goodison Park prior to kickoff on November 2, the group shared a message on Twitter the following morning following the 3-0 Carabao Cup victory.
Online, fans have expressed their displeasure about the lack of safety and immobility on the streets around the stadium prior to kickoff, citing stewards’ apparent overload.
We have been informed about, in fact many of us were caught up in, chaotic scenes in gaining access to Goodison Park last night, the Fan’s Forum posted.
This has been brought up with the club, and we are actively looking for the root of the chaos.
This is a regrettable side note, despite the fact that Everton had a very successful evening as Sean Dyche’s new team easily defeated his old team.
Nobody has to be reminded of the risks associated with jammed football crowds that make it impossible for people to move around securely.
Whatever the reason, it needs to be determined as soon as possible in order to have backup preparations in place in case the potentially dangerous situation near Goodison on Wednesday occurs again.
In a same vein, whatever can be learned must be put toward getting Everton ready to move into the new dockside stadium.
It is suggested that although the stewards in attendance were doing the best they could in difficult circumstances, there was an issue with the adjacent streets.
If the Fans’ Forum is treating it as a top priority, then perhaps the club will now react appropriately and steps will be taken to guarantee that a similar circumstance doesn’t occur again in the future.
