Everton star wanted by every club.
According to Michael Ball, “every club in the world” would like a left-sided defender with the talent of Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton.
Since returning from a loan with PSV in the summer, the 21-year-old has been in outstanding form for Everton and has lately replaced Michael Keane as James Tarkowski’s partner in the center of defense.
Branthwaite last week signed a new deal at Goodison Park, despite rumors that Manchester United and Manchester City were interested in signing him.
Ball, a former Everton left back, said about Branthwaite on the podcast A View From The Bullens October 15: He seems really composed.
We haven’t had a left-sided center-half in so look that he just looks ten times better than anyone we’ve had, because he’s got that balance, but I didn’t want to get too carried away early on.
It’s a straightforward move, but some players need two or three touches to complete it. He opens out his body and plays the ball out. He makes it seem simple. He’s a huge boy, he can control the ball, he wins fights, and he has every quality you could ask for.
I understand that every club in the world wants a left-sided center-back since I am a left-handed player. He signed his new contract, and I’m overjoyed.
