Everton supporters criticize Safety claims made by Sky Sports…

The pre-game broadcast of Everton’s match against Newcastle by Sky Sports News has been referred to by a group of supporters as “an absolute disgrace.”
Reporter Sanny Rudravajhala said it was because people were trying to “stay away from any trouble” at Goodison Park while doing a remote broadcast from the Wirral.

The statements were based on a nonviolent demonstration organized by Blues supporters against the Premier League following their 10-point deduction from Thursday’s game.

However, the aforementioned reporter went on to see Sean Dyche’s team’s final 3-0 victory and gave a positive review of Goodison on X, the defunct Twitter platform.

The 1878s, who organized the protest on Thursday, denounced Sky’s efforts to paint Evertonians as antagonistic in the days leading up to the match.

The group released a statement saying, “As a group we are extremely disappointed with Sky Sports News’ coverage before last night’s game.”

“The group and thousands of other Everton supporters staged two rallies before our match yesterday, one at home against Manchester United and the other away at Nottingham Forest.

Together with our one last night, both of these protests have been flawless, successful, and incident-free.

“Since all of the protests have been conducted civilly, we are offended by Sky Sports News’s assertion that they were avoiding any unrest at Goodison Park.

Before the game, Sanny Rudravajhala, a news presenter for Sky Sports, implied that Goodison is like a dangerous war zone when she was reporting from the Wirral.

However, the same reporter, who was there at Goodison during the game, tweeted, “Goodison Park under the lights.” Fewer English football spectacles can compare. Will be sad to see it go.

“Evertonians have never engaged in any aggressive or hazardous activity. To say otherwise is utterly shameful.
