FIA Calls for Inspection of Verstappen’s Car Following C… Read more
The FIA has recently conducted a thorough inspection of Max Verstappen’s Red Bull RB20 following his latest victory at the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix. The inspection was part of the FIA’s standard post-race procedure, where random cars from the top ten finishers are selected to ensure full compliance with Formula 1’s technical regulations.
Verstappen’s car underwent a detailed review, including checks on the suspension dampers, engine air intake, oil and coolant systems, charge air cooling setup, and various onboard sensors. Following the inspection, the FIA confirmed that all components were in full compliance with the 2025 Formula One Technical Regulations.
This inspection comes as scrutiny around Red Bull’s technological edge continues to grow. Earlier this season, the FIA reinforced limits on systems designed to alter ride height between qualifying and the race a feature Red Bull had reportedly been exploiting through floor and suspension tweaks. These mechanisms are now under strict monitoring and partly banned under updated regulations.
Despite the extra attention, Verstappen continues to dominate the grid, and Red Bull remains the team to beat this season. The FIA emphasized that such inspections are essential to ensuring a level playing field and maintaining the sport’s integrity.
As the 2025 season heats up, with Ferrari and McLaren also showing strong form, technical fairness will remain a top priority. Verstappen’s clean result from the inspection only strengthens his position at the top of the championship standings.
