F1 live:Norris Critical of Verstappen After Piastri’s Miami Win :It Was Over the…Read more

Lando Norris has taken aim at Max Verstappen following Oscar Piastri’s stunning victory at the Miami Grand Prix, suggesting the Red Bull driver crossed the line during the race. The McLaren driver didn’t hold back in his post-race comments, expressing frustration over what he described as overly aggressive driving by Verstappen.

The tension between Norris and Verstappen escalated during a key moment in the race when the two battled for position. Norris felt Verstappen’s defensive move forced him wide and compromised his momentum, ultimately giving Piastri the opportunity to take the lead — which he never relinquished.

“Max was on the limit — maybe even over it,” Norris said. “It’s one thing to race hard, but there has to be a line. I think today he went too far.”

While Verstappen finished on the podium, the reigning world champion was visibly unimpressed with McLaren’s race pace and defended his actions, calling it “firm but fair racing.”

“We’re fighting at the front — it’s never going to be easy,” Verstappen said. “If you don’t want tough racing, maybe you’re in the wrong sport.”

Piastri, meanwhile, stayed out of the drama, celebrating his maiden Grand Prix win with composure and maturity. The Australian driver capitalized on the chaos ahead and managed his tyres perfectly to bring home McLaren’s first win of the season.

The fallout from Miami has now added more fuel to the growing tension between Norris and Verstappen, both of whom are vying to disrupt Red Bull’s dominance.

As the championship battle intensifies, fans can expect more sparks to fly — especially with McLaren showing it’s now a genuine contender. The next race in Imola may see these tensions boil over yet again.
