Veteran driver offers blunt response after another tough outing with Scuderia

Lewis Hamilton gave a brief and candid post-race interview following the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, speaking for just 30 seconds before walking away  a reflection of his growing frustration during a difficult debut season with Ferrari.

The seven-time world champion started seventh on the grid in Jeddah and finished the race in the same spot, unable to gain ground as Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc secured a podium finish from fourth. To make matters worse, Hamilton also started behind Carlos Sainz  the very driver he replaced at the Italian team  and was even outqualified by a Williams.

Having driven for Mercedes for over a decade, Hamilton has yet to feel at home in Ferrari’s SF-25. While he has repeatedly urged fans to temper expectations as he adapts, his inability to extract pace from the car is raising questions, particularly as younger talents like Ollie Bearman and Kimi Antonelli are impressing in their debut appearances.

When asked after the race if there was any point he felt comfortable behind the wheel, Hamilton replied bluntly:

“No, there wasn’t one second. Clearly the car is capable of being P3, so Charles did a great job today… I can’t blame it on that.”

When pressed to explain why he couldn’t match his teammate’s performance, Hamilton simply answered:

“No.” With that, he ended the interview.

As the season continues and Ferrari shows signs of competitiveness, pressure is mounting on Hamilton to deliver results. With 24 races on the calendar, time is ticking for the legendary driver to find form and silence the growing doubts. All eyes will now be on Miami, where he’ll hope for a turnaround.
