Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing, has addressed the controversy surrounding recent remarks made by senior advisor Helmut Marko about the team’s driver situation. Marko’s comments, which included criticism of Yuki Tsunoda’s performance and suggestions about his focus, caused a stir within the motorsport community. Horner clarified that these opinions were Marko’s personal views and not those of the team. He also mentioned that Marko had apologized for his statements, and the matter was being dealt with internally.

Horner stressed that Marko’s role is distinct from that of the racing team, as he is contracted to Red Bull GmbH and not directly involved with team operations. He rejected claims of internal conflict, noting that Marko and he maintain a long-standing and open working relationship. Horner added that external rumors about discord within the team were unfounded and that their focus remains on achieving success in the upcoming races. Despite the controversy, Horner emphasized that the team is united and fully committed to their goals.
