Starting Grid for the 2025 F1 Chinese Grand Prix After Penalties…rad more.

The starting grid for the 2025 Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix has been confirmed following the application of several grid penalties. After a competitive qualifying session at the Shanghai International Circuit, changes were made due to infractions such as component replacements and driving violations.

Max Verstappen remains on pole position after setting the fastest lap in qualifying, while Charles Leclerc moves up to P2, benefiting from a penalty that drops George Russell from second to fifth due to an unscheduled gearbox change. Lewis Hamilton takes third place on the grid, ahead of Carlos Sainz in P4.

Lando Norris gains a position, starting from P6, as Sergio Pérez drops from P5 to P10 after exceeding his engine allocation limit. Oscar Piastri and Esteban Ocon capitalize on the penalties as well, securing P7 and P8, respectively.

In the midfield, Pierre Gasly lines up in P9, just ahead of Pérez. Meanwhile, rookie driver Liam Lawson, who replaced Yuki Tsunoda for this race, faces a difficult challenge, starting from P17 after an impeding incident during qualifying.

With a shuffled grid and Shanghai’s fast straights and tricky corners, fans can expect plenty of overtaking and strategic battles. The 2025 Chinese Grand Prix is set to deliver high-speed drama as the grid prepares to race toward victory.
