Rick Scholey, supervisor of Surrey Police’s road traffic collision team, explained that the crash happened because Monger was not paying attention while driving. “Monger was not paying attention when he lost control of his car, which resulted in him colliding with three parked cars, causing significant damage before then colliding with a hedge and wall belonging to a nearby house,” Scholey said in a statement. He further noted that the outcome could have been far more severe if someone had been on the road at the time of the accident.

As a result, the court handed him a 49-day driving disqualification and ordered him to pay fines and costs amounting to £2,694.
