F1 REPORT:Championship Standings After Disqualifications at the 2025 Chinese GP…read more

 

Following the Chinese Grand Prix, the Formula 1 championship standings have been updated, factoring in race results and recent disqualifications.

 

Drivers’ Championship Standings

 

Lando Norris continues to lead the title race with 44 points, maintaining an eight-point advantage over Max Verstappen, who remains in second with 36 points. George Russell follows closely in third with 35 points, having secured consecutive podium finishes this season.

 

Oscar Piastri, fresh off his dominant victory in Shanghai, is now fourth in the standings with 34 points, just a single point behind Russell. Meanwhile, Mercedes’ rookie Kimi Antonelli continues to impress, occupying fifth place with 22 points.

 

Further down the rankings, Alex Albon sits in sixth with 16 points, while Lance Stroll and Esteban Ocon are tied on 10 points each. Lewis Hamilton, after a difficult weekend, holds ninth place with 9 points, just ahead of his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc, who has 8 points.

 

Constructors’ Championship Standings

McLaren has stretched its lead in the constructors’ standings to 76 points, establishing a 19-point gap over Mercedes, which holds second place with 57 points. Red Bull remains third with 36 points, though all of their points have been scored by Verstappen, underscoring the team’s current struggles with their second driver.

 

Williams and Ferrari are now tied in fourth place with 17 points each, after both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were disqualified for technical infringements. Haas follows in sixth with 14 points, ahead of Aston Martin, which has 10 points.

 

Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber holds six points, while Visa Cash App Racing Bulls has just three points so far. Alpine remains the only team yet to score a point this season.

 

With McLaren leading both championships, but Mercedes and Red Bull remaining in the fight, the battle for the 2025 Formula 1 title is heating up as the season moves into its European phase.
