Former Kentucky signee and five-star Jayden Quaintance is scheduled to visit Louisville.
Five-star prospect Jayden Quaintance, who was named a McDonald’s All-American for the class of 2024, initially committed to Kentucky in the fall. However, he decided to reopen his recruitment after coach John Calipari departed for Arkansas. Last week, UK granted him a release from his commitment. According to his father, Quaintance’s first official visit to another school will be to Louisville, as reported by 247sports’ Eric Bossi.
Quaintance, a highly regarded center ranked in the consensus top 10, is set to visit Louisville on Thursday. Despite his young age of just 16 and his ineligibility for the NBA Draft until 2026, he made the decision to reclassify from the class of 2025 to the class of 2024 before originally signing with Kentucky on November 14, 2023. This change in classification did not affect his ranking as one of the top prospects in his class.
