Four-star recruit for the Michigan Wolverines…
Four-star recruit for the Michigan Wolverines is ecstatic about defensive line coach Greg Scruggs.
Sherrone Moore, the new coach of the Michigan Wolverines, hasn’t wasted any time in putting together his coaching staff. Greg Scruggs, a former defensive line coach at Wisconsin, was one new hire. Jaylen Williams, a four-star recruit for the 2025 class, recently discussed Scruggs and had nothing but positive things to say.
Greg Scruggs, a recruit for the Michigan Wolverines
Williams is an Illinois native and a four-star defensive line recruit. He is ranked among the top 300 recruits overall by 247. He expressed his admiration for Scruggs’ hiring in a recent interview.
“Among all the coaches, Coach Scruggs is my favourite. Since he recruited me during my sophomore year, we have developed an extremely strong friendship. When Coach (Sherrone) Moore said, “Trust me,” he did not mince words.
Scruggs’s relationship with many of the current candidates is one of the benefits of employing him. Since Wisconsin recruits in locations akin to Michigan, Williams was already acquainted with Scruggs. Moore not only gets a coach with experience in the profession, but he also has good recruiting skills.
Fantastic News for Michigan
Keeping recruits engaged is a difficulty that arises with every coaching change. Although Michigan has lost a few, its classes have remained mostly intact. This is significant for the initiative. For years, many believed that Jim Harbaugh’s departure would ruin the programme. Apparently, that is not the case. Not much is known about what will transpire on the field, but the recruiting process hasn’t changed.
