11 Celtic stars stuck in transfer limbo as Brendan Rodgers faces waiting game

Celtic FC is on the verge of signing Norwich City striker Adam Idah for £9.5 million, making him the most expensive signing in the club’s history. However, to offset this cost, the team plans to offload several players before the end of the month.

Almost half a dozen players are stuck in transfer limbo, waiting to see if they will be sold or loaned out.

Irish striker Idah, 23, will join Celtic after a deal was struck with Norwich City.

This signing brings Celtic’s summer spending to £14 million, following the signings of Viljami Sinisalo and Paulo Bernardo, as well as the free transfer of Kasper Schmeichel.

To balance the books, Celtic has already sold fringe players like Oh, Sead Haksabanovic, and Bosun Lawal. More players are expected to leave the club in the coming weeks.

Manager Brendan Rodgers wants to trim his squad and focus on quality over quantity.

Eleven players are uncertain about their futures at Celtic Park. These include:

– Gustaf Lagerbielke, a Swedish defender who has been told he can leave
– Maik Nawrocki, a Polish center-back who has struggled with injuries
– Yuki Kobayashi, a Japanese defender who has not played under Rodgers
– Stephen Welsh, a Scottish defender who may be loaned out
– Kwon Hyeok-kyu, a South Korean midfielder who may join Hibs on loan
– Liam Shaw, a forgotten midfielder who is expected to return to England

These players are stuck in transfer limbo, waiting to see if they will be sold, loaned out, or stay at Celtic. The club has until August 30 to make decisions on their futures.
