Following Real Madrid’s decision to rule out a bid for Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain, Cadena Ser stated last week that Liverpool is in the greatest position to sign the player. The forward’s contract with PSG expires in 2024, and his future there is still up in the air.

Despite the fact that he will be free agent next summer, AS reports that there are concerns over whether the La Liga team would complete a deal for him. Liverpool’s interest in the 24-year-old is another topic they discuss.

Josep Pedrerol of El Chiringuito has said that Los Blancos would have to alter their pay structure since Mbappé is requesting €35 million annually—after taxes.

AS relays this and adds that the Madrid club may run into trouble with his wage demands. Furthermore, the Frenchman desires to play on the left wing, where Vinícius Júnior presently plays for Real Madrid.

Erling Haaland, a standout for Manchester City, is also on Carlo Ancelotti’s team’s wish list. However, the Norwegian will cost a lot of money to leave the Etihad. Even though Mbappé will be a free agent next summer, a contract for him won’t be inexpensive either.

According to AS, Real Madrid will need to provide a signing bonus of about €100 million because the attacker from PSG already has “more important offers” on the table.
The report then places Liverpool in that category and states that they have renewed their interest in Mbappé at this point.

It’s probable that Real Madrid is being pressured in this situation to try to sign the Frenchman by using the Reds.

L’Equipe said earlier this month that major progress on Mbappé’s future won’t be achieved until the first half of 2024. Liverpool allegedly hasn’t stopped communicating with his group.

Even though Liverpool has consistently pushed these allegations, it just doesn’t seem possible that the Reds would accept anything close to a €35 million net salary with a €100 million signing bonus.
