Injury Expert provides an encouraging fitness update for Everton midfielder.
Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist in injuries, is a welcome addition to our exclusive writer lineup. He will offer his opinions on Everton’s injury status every week.
According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has been sidelined with an infamous calf problem that has bothered him since the season’s beginning.
In light of the Portuguese international’s recent setbacks, the injury expert thinks it would be premature to predict when he will be able to play again.
He could return to action at any time, though, depending on when the medical team gives the all-clear during the international break, once an assessment is made.
Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, spoke exclusively to Goodison News about his dilemma.
“He’s been fighting with calf issues all season, which can be quite delicate, well-known, and prone to re-injury.
“These are fairly iffy, so who knows when he might return; it might be in the next several days.
It would be prudent to hold off until the club confirms the news because he is anticipated to be evaluated during the international break.
