JUST IN: Max Verstappen to Attend Red Bull’s Lavish ‘Mega Party’ Following M…read more
Max Verstappen is among an exclusive group of high-profile guests invited to a spectacular ‘mega party’ hosted by Red Bull GmbH owner Mark Mateschitz, as the company celebrates a major milestone in its history.
The celebration, set for June 4, will mark the grand reopening of Red Bull’s iconic Hangar-7 venue in Salzburg, Austria, following years of extensive renovations. Located adjacent to Salzburg Airport, Hangar-7 is a world-renowned cultural hub that blends aviation, art, and fine dining, originally established by the late Dietrich Mateschitz—Red Bull co-founder and father of Mark Mateschitz—who passed away in 2022.
According to Austrian outlet Kronen Zeitung, the invitation-only event will host around 150 elite guests, with Verstappen expected to be among them. A race-style activity is also reportedly planned as part of the evening’s entertainment, though details remain under wraps.
The event is not just a celebration of Hangar-7’s new chapter, but also serves as a tribute from Mark Mateschitz to his late father, who founded the venue in 2003 to house the famed ‘Flying Bulls’ aircraft collection and, later, Formula 1 memorabilia.
Verstappen’s presence at the event is no surprise. The Dutchman has played a crucial role in Red Bull Racing’s success, claiming four of the team’s eight drivers’ championships since its debut in Formula 1 in 2005. Red Bull Racing has also secured six constructors’ titles in that time, firmly establishing itself as a dominant force in the sport.
Verstappen, who recently welcomed his first child with partner Kelly Piquet, is expected to attend the party alongside her. However, it remains unclear whether Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner—who has led the team since its entry into F1 will be in attendance.
The festivities come amid speculation surrounding Verstappen’s future with Red Bull. Although he remains under contract, there have been reports suggesting the 27-year-old is growing frustrated with the team’s early-2025 performance, particularly a perceived lack of race-winning pace.
Still, the June celebration marks a moment of reflection and pride for Red Bull, with Verstappen’s attendance reinforcing his close ties to the Mateschitz family and the brand’s legacy both on and off the track.
