McLaren F1 Team Announces Major 2025 Signing Following Key Departure

McLaren Racing has made an important addition to their team ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The reigning constructors’ champions, who triumphed over Ferrari and Red Bull in the 2024 season, have announced the arrival of Alessandro Alunni Bravi as their new Chief Business Affairs Officer. This appointment comes shortly after Bravi’s departure from Sauber, marking a strategic move by McLaren to strengthen their operations off the track.

In a statement, McLaren revealed that Bravi’s role is a newly created position. As Chief Business Affairs Officer, the Italian will oversee various aspects of McLaren Racing’s business activities, providing leadership and expertise to support the team’s long-term goals.

Zak Brown Welcomes Bravi to McLaren
McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown expressed his excitement over the appointment, emphasizing Bravi’s wealth of experience in motorsport. “I’m delighted to have Alessandro joining us with his extensive expertise and motorsport background,” said Brown. “He will manage our legal and driver development functions, while also supporting professional driver business management matters, racing governance activities, and our relationships with rights holders and governing bodies. His broad business acumen will benefit all of our racing series as needed.”

Brown added that Bravi’s involvement would strengthen the team’s ability to remain competitive on and off the track. “We look forward to welcoming him to the McLaren Racing family in February,” he concluded.

Bravi Expresses Excitement for New Role
Bravi shared his enthusiasm about joining McLaren, describing the opportunity as a dream come true. “McLaren is a team I have been a huge fan of my whole life, and it sparks special emotions to now work with such an incredible group of people,” he said.

The former Sauber team chief expressed gratitude to Zak Brown and McLaren’s board for their trust. “I want to reward their confidence in me by dedicating myself fully to contributing to the team’s continued success. I firmly believe teamwork is at the heart of everything,” Bravi added.

He also praised McLaren’s values and culture, calling the team a benchmark in Formula 1 both on and off the track. “I’m thrilled to join this great organization and can’t wait to get started at the beginning of February,” he said.

McLaren Eyes 2025 Success
As McLaren prepares for the 2025 season, the team will aim to defend their constructors’ championship title while intensifying their pursuit of the drivers’ crown. In 2024, Lando Norris mounted a significant challenge to Max Verstappen, but the Dutchman ultimately secured his fourth consecutive drivers’ championship at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

With Bravi’s appointment and McLaren’s continuous efforts to innovate, the team looks poised to maintain their strong performance in the upcoming season. Fans and rivals alike will be watching closely as McLaren strives to uphold their reputation as one of Formula 1’s top teams.
