Charles Leclerc Reflects on 2024 Season and Looks Ahead to……..read more

Charles Leclerc, reflecting on his 2024 Formula 1 season during the FIA awards gala, acknowledged both the highs and lows of the year. Despite enjoying some positive moments throughout the season, the Monegasque driver expressed dissatisfaction with finishing outside the top spot. Leclerc, who finished third in the drivers’ standings, was clearly motivated to do better in the coming season. His main goal for 2025 is to compete for both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships, a sentiment he shared at the event.

Leclerc’s 2024 season was marked by a fierce battle with McLaren for the Constructors’ Championship, with Ferrari fighting until the final race. While the season was long and challenging, Leclerc admitted that McLaren ultimately performed better, securing the coveted title. He had words of praise for McLaren’s achievements and acknowledged their success, saying, “[McLaren] fully deserve the title and congratulations to them.”

He also took the opportunity to congratulate Max Verstappen on his third consecutive Drivers’ Championship. Despite his own disappointment over the results, Leclerc maintained a positive outlook, celebrating the fact that he had experienced some of his dreams coming true. He recalled memorable moments of the season, including his win at the Monaco Grand Prix and a special practice session with his younger brother, Arthur Leclerc, which brought a personal touch to his racing year.

In his reflections, Leclerc admitted that although he cherished these moments, finishing second or third was not the result he had hoped for. “We want to win,” he emphasized, reinforcing his hunger for success in the upcoming season. The Ferrari driver made it clear that while his team’s results this year were not as strong as they had hoped, he was determined to come back stronger in 2025 and fight for the top titles.

Looking ahead, Leclerc’s focus is firmly on the future. He is set to continue with Ferrari for the 2025 season, where he will be joined by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, a teammate change that could bring new dynamics to the Scuderia team. With his ambitious goals for the next season, Leclerc aims to push for victory in both the drivers’ and constructors’ categories, signaling a strong desire to bring Ferrari back to the top of the F1 standings.

While 2024 was not the championship-winning season that Leclerc and Ferrari had hoped for, the Monegasque driver remains optimistic about the future. With the lessons learned and the desire to improve, Leclerc’s commitment to success in 2025 is unwavering, and the upcoming season promises to be an exciting new chapter in his F1 career.
