Ferrari Issues Official Statement on Hamilton and Leclerc’s D…read more.

Ferrari has released an official statement following the disqualification of Charles Leclerc and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton from a recent Formula 1 race. Both drivers were penalized after failing post-race technical inspections, which revealed that their cars did not meet the required floor thickness regulations. The disqualifications stripped Leclerc of his podium finish and left Ferrari grappling with the consequences of losing valuable championship points.

In their statement, Ferrari expressed disappointment over the situation but acknowledged the stewards’ decision. The team emphasized their commitment to adhering to FIA regulations and explained that the issue arose from unexpected levels of wear on the underfloor plank due to the specific demands of the track. Ferrari noted that they would investigate the matter thoroughly to prevent similar incidents in future races.

Meanwhile, Mercedes, facing a similar setback with Hamilton’s disqualification, also issued a statement accepting the ruling while highlighting their surprise at the unusual floor wear. Both teams face questions over car setups and adjustments moving forward.

The disqualification reshaped the race results, promoting McLaren’s Lando Norris to second place and Carlos Sainz, Leclerc’s Ferrari teammate, to third. It also intensified the championship battle, as Red Bull continues to dominate the standings while Ferrari and Mercedes contend for runner-up positions.

With just a few races left in the season, Ferrari will be under pressure to recover lost ground and ensure that regulatory compliance remains a priority as they aim for stronger performances in the final stretch.
