After pursuing Teun Koopmeiners for over a year, Liverpool appears to be prepared to make a bid to sign him, according to recent sources.

The Reds spoke with Atalanta, an Italian team, in January 2023 in order to ask about the Dutch international.

Furthermore, rumors from the previous summer said the Merseysiders made efforts to entice the Oranje star in order to strengthen their midfield.

Liverpool is now prepared to make a sizable offer to ultimately sign Koopmeiners, according to an exclusive piece published by Tutto Atalanta.

The versatile 25-year-old player, according to Anfield, has the physical and technical qualities to help the team.

Though he can also play well at the No. 8 and No. 10 positions, Koopmeiners is mostly a defensive midfielder.

He started the most of the Serie A season as a DM, but he also had a direct hand in 14 goals (10 goals and 4 assists).

However, GdS reported that the above mentioned fee might not be enough as the reference point is the £41million (48 million euros) offer from Napoli, which was turned down by Atalanta because it arrived late in the final days of the summer transfer window.
