Entering the 2024 season, Norris had never secured a victory in F1. Yet, by the end of the 2025 season, he had accumulated four race wins, 26 podium finishes, and helped McLaren claim their first Constructors’ title since 1998. The McLaren team became Red Bull’s closest rival, with Ferrari also showing glimpses of competition. Heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi, McLaren had an equal chance of securing the Constructors’ Championship, while Red Bull’s Sergio Perez was struggling, effectively out of the title race.
