Leeds United ready… transfer to replace…

Leeds United are eyeing NEC attacker Sontje Hansen as a potential replacement for Crysencio Summerville, according to Voetbal International on August 3.

Birmingham City, a League One team, is also a possible destination for Hansen. If Hansen leaves NEC Nijmegen, a high transfer fee is expected due to his contract length.

Leeds’ interest in Hansen mirrors their previous recruitment of Summerville, who joined from Feyenoord for about £1.3 million. Summerville is now set to move to West Ham for over £20 million, demonstrating Leeds’ effective recruitment strategy.

Hansen, 22, joined NEC from Ajax last season and contributed to 13 goals. His versatility across the front three positions could be crucial for Leeds, especially with the potential departure of Willy Gnonto, who has been linked with Everton.

In other news, Leeds United are favorites to sign an “exciting” player who may turn down a top-flight move.
