Middlesbrough In Lead In Race For Celtic And H…. Read More.

Middlesbrough are reportedly leading the chase to sign Tommy Conway, who has attracted interest from both Celtic and Hull City, according to Sky Sports News.

The young forward from Bristol City has declined a contract extension, prompting the Robins to consider selling him during this transfer window.

Middlesbrough have submitted an offer for Conway, with Hull City recently joining the fray by placing a £5 million bid.

Meanwhile, Scottish giants Celtic remain keen on the player, and Burnley, along with other Championship clubs, are also keeping an eye on him.

Despite the competition, Middlesbrough are believed to be ahead in the race to secure Conway’s services.

The club’s manager, Michael Carrick, is receiving support in the transfer market and is keen to bring the 21-year-old striker on board.

Carrick had the opportunity to see Conway in action twice last season when Bristol City faced Middlesbrough in the Championship, with Conway scoring once in those encounters.
