Luke McCowan has opened up about the emotional rollercoaster he experienced during his transfer to Celtic, revealing that he was brought to tears when he finally learned the move was going ahead. The 26-year-old midfielder, who had supported Celtic since childhood, completed a £1 million transfer from Dundee to Celtic on transfer deadline day. McCowan made his debut for the Hoops in their 3-0 Old Firm victory against Rangers but admitted that just days before, he believed the transfer wouldn’t happen.

Recalling the moment, McCowan shared that he was left devastated when Dundee manager Tony Docherty called him early on deadline day and told him the deal was off.
